Sydney Opera House

Sydney Opera House

So, since I’ve posted pictures of the Sydney Opera House from the outside, I wanted to give you a glimpse of the architecture from the inside through a few photos I captured.

I won’t bore you with the specific reasons why the windows are set at a 45° angle (reduce heat, wind resistance and glare) or why each room is built to provide maximum acoustic output while also sound proofed to reduce disturbing its neighbor. I won’t mention the over 10,000 organ pipes in the concert hall (about 131 can be seen) or the names of people that performed there (Prince performed 4 weeks before he passed and Ice Cube had just left).

I’ll just allow you to use your imagination and determine for yourself how much culture is packed into this iconic building.
