Welcome to diverse Dakar, capital of Senegal, where reggae resounds through subterranean hideaways, downtown nightclubs throb with world beats and homegrown pop, and the sounds of the djembe drum and kora are as vital as ever.
Sitting a little over a mile out from Dakar’s sheltered harbor, Île de Gorée is tiny and pretty, its narrow car-free streets leading between faded colonial buildings. It was Senegal’s most notorious port in the late 1700s, thought to be where millions of enslaved people passed through.
The Gambia may be the smallest country on the continent, but its captivating array of attractions belies its tiny size. Surrounded by Senegal, The Gambia has a mere 50 miles (80km) of coastline, but what a magnificent stretch it encompasses: golden beaches backed by swaying palms and sprinkled with scenic lagoons, sleepy fishing villages and biologically rich coastal reserves.

Initial deposits are refundable up to 48 hours after time/date of registration, after the 48-hour timeframe your deposit will be NON-REFUNDABLE.
Full payment or Final payment for this trip will need to be completed on or before July 5th 2024. Your final payment is NON-REFUNDABLE upon it’s due date of July 5th 2024. If you cancel your trip at any time after the 1st payment has been made you will need to file a claim with your insurance provider to reclaim any funds paid towards your trip.
If for any reason THETRAVELJUNKEES are not able to visit our desired destination this trip will be postponed to a later date and time. If you cannot make the dates for the rescheduled trip, you will have the option to go at your leisure on your own. In some cases, we may be able to (depending on the dates) roll over monies paid to a TTJ tour for the future. In the event you opt out of either option you will be responsible for filing a claim with your insurance provider to recoup any monies paid.
