During the pandemic a lot of people took a well needed break from traveling. Some people stayed home and got some much needed rest, some people caught up on movies and tv shows, some people took care of things around the house, while the brave continued to travel.
One thing is for sure now.
Travel is BACK!!!
Here are some essentials you may need as you start to jump back in the TRAVEL saddle.
1- Compression socks/sleeves for long flights
2- Neck pillow
3- Reading material or personal entertainment ( tablet with movies. Ipad, etc)
4- Contact your bank or financial institution and provide your dates of travel
5- Contact your cellphone provider and see if they have an international plan
6- Google the U.S. Embassy for the country you are traveling to. Know where it is in conjunction to your lodging.
7- Purchase travel insurance
8- Check the currency exchange rate. Exchange money according to what you plan to do or purchase personally
9- Bring hand sanitizer and or baby wipes
10- Bring sunglasses and or a hat/headcover, and yes weave counts as headcover
11- Learn a few words in their language, like Please, Excuse me, Thank you, Hello, Goodbye, Where is the hotel, etc
12- When checking into the hotel ask for a map, and a business card for the hotel
13- Pack your patience, there may be delays, airport woes, transfers, traffic, etc
14- Plan to be on time for group activities, utilize hotel for wake up calls
15- Bring a camera
16- Bring a portable charger or battery pack, make sure you bring power adapters or power converters, check Amazon
17- Check the weather before you travel, pack accordingly
